CARP - habits of water science

All lakes in the United Kingdom can be broken down and shown in 3 different levels. This reduction in layers is referred to in the "stratification of the Lake".

3 Different layers have different temperatures; This temperature difference is caused by a change in temperature changes during the year.

The three layers are called the

1 Inclusion - this is the top layer of water.

2 Metalimnion - the middle layer of the water, is a thin layer of water.

3 Hypolimnion - the lowest level of the water.

In the United Kingdom which works in 4 seasons, and as a result, a cyclic pattern of temperature change takes place every year.

It is important to know that sea water has a maximum density of approx. 4 ° C. This means that for some reason (I'm not here the) water will weigh more water at a temperature different from 4 ° C and so on will move down. To make this clear:

There were only 2 water temperatures would be the end of the Lake in a Lake of 4 ° C and 18 ° C 4 ° C and 18 ° C would be at the top.

Similarly, if there was then only 2 water temperatures in a Lake of 4 ° C and 2 ° C 4 ° C would be the end of the Lake and the 2 ° C at the top.

From this we can see that the stratification of the Lake resembles the different seasons (winter, spring, summer and autumn).

In the winter months, the temperature is very cold, there is less sunlight, and therefore reduces the temperature of the water in the Lake. Around 4 ° C are the water in the bottom of the Lake (hypolimnion). The water in the upper part (epilimnion) is 1 ° c. Our knowledge of carp fishing, we know that as a rule of thumb tent will you the warmest areas of the Lake (for reasons that I will not here). So close in the winter months the carp is tend to be the bottom, where is the most hot water. Unfortunately with the 4 ° C the temperature is maximum anywhere in the Lake that metabolism carp braking just and therefore reduces the need for food and the need for energy increases savings (less movement). He is one of the reasons why the CARP fishing is more difficult in the winter.

This is how come spring, a massive change is occurring. The temperature increases due to sunlight hits more United Kingdom for a long time. This begins to warm the temperature of the water. This is the second to our 1st cycle Dimictic, happens in the autumn. During this cycle heats the water slowly to the Lake of the same temperature from top to bottom. Due to this same temperature of seawater now being up and down to mix. I want to know when is the case, a thermometer with you in your pocket and put it into the water temperature to obtain a few inches. In the days will be gradually more and more up to 4 ° C, until the mixture is done.

From this point begins the water temperature above 4 ° C and thus increase the finished mix. You know in this far reading water at 4 ° C is the most serious in anywhere in the Lake and consequently, all the water at 4 ° C at the level lower and is the Hypolimniom. This happens much more quickly in shallow waters, as the rays of the Sun can hit the bottom of the Lake. This often encourages the fish in the shallow waters at this time; like the fisherman, it is advantageous to know when it is the case.

This process of heating water continues during the summer and as a result, the fish where very high is now seen feeding on the temperature of the surface of the Lake. But what about the fine metalimnion or the middle class? Know that this is crucial for fishermen. Then, when the water in the mixer stage are only a thin middle layer of water. This thin layer separates the top layer of the bottom and is actually at a higher temperature than water elsewhere in the Lake, because it changes the fastest.
